I received a couple of these Paton Bazaar Time booklets in the mail the other day. Each catalog is filled with "over 40 ideas for gifts and novelties." They came out of the U.K. and have some great photography. Take a look.
Some of my favorites are on: Fashion Cooks (1955) bookcover, Marimekko striped tops, Mike Mills' Let's Be Humans DVD, French-stripe boatneck, Stripes (1981), color bar index cards, Jack Spade's Publicolor coal bag, and zebras.
While on a trip to London Drugstore with my mother-in-law, I found these great pencil-crayons (each with the color imprinted on the end both in English and French) in the school supply aisle. I bought a few.
Peters' Drive-In is a local Calgary favorite. My husband and I shared a bag of fries (w/ vinegar and salt) along with a burger and shakes (butter rum and choco/banana). So good. And the bag -- I had to save.
