Below are two Esquire magazine covers from the 60s. The first was designed under the creative leadership of legendary ad man, George Lois (I had the pleasure to hear him speak at a Society of Publication Design Awards Dinner a fews years back). A brilliant man.
It's Wings That Make Birds Fly by Sandra Weiner was conceived while she was photographing at a New York Day Care Center and where she met the children whose lives and feelings are portrayed in this book. The story emerged from their taped conversations over a period of a year, of what was for them a very important year.
