At the 2005 kate spade holiday party, Dan Hurley wrote this 60-second novel for me. This December 28th marked our sixth wedding anniversary. After the loss of our daughter this summer, I can't think of anyone I would rather have by my side than my husband. He really is the best gift.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Abby. I had so many friends from work who were friends with you when I worked at MS, that I always felt as if I knew you in some way! I even got a copy of 'Abby's New York list' (that you had set up in an Excel spreadsheet) from someone. I often referred to it during my time in NYC! Thinking of you, and so glad that you have a great husband to support you through such an ordeal.

Thank you for your notes. Our daughter was born with and died from Shwachman Diamond Syndrome. She spent 7 weeks at NYU's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and about a week at NY Presbyterian's Intensive Care Nursery. She lived 8 weeks. And we miss her dearly.

Happy Anniversary you guys..
I remember your wedding day so vividly, with the rain and Abby's amazing dress all tucked and folded. So much has happened since then.. and here's to a wonderful life that isn't quite as crazy as 2008.
