I received this set of The New Illustrated Library of Science and Invention for my birthday. Designed and produced by Erik Nitsche, the design, inside and out, is incredible. Assemble your own set here. *[Thank you Ace Jet 170 and Daniel Neville.]

It's a pleasure. You, like Daniel, have swiftly overtaken me. Is that one, top right, physics?

Yes, you're right. The top two are: A History of Communications and A History of Physics. The Bottom two are: A History of Land Transportation and A History of Astronomy.

That's so cool! Sometimes, I go to look around the back room of the library in search of old nickel magazines.
I love how vintage art they are. I'd put them up on my wall as posters. =D

These are so cool. Maybe I'll have to give myself an early birthday present :)
I'm always torn between keeping art inside the original books or making wall art of them. I have several books sitting in my bookshelf that I don't have the guts to remove them from their original home. What do you think?
