My daughter passed away last July due to complications related to Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome. Since her birth last May, I was in close contact with Shwachman-Diamond America, a group founded by a mother of two sons with the syndrome. I have remained involved since. *[The new logo below is the first of what I hope to be several projects for SDA.]
This is pretty neat Abby!

As a mother of a child who passed away (malfunctioning of the heart), I know how difficult times can be on such occasions. My best wishes to you and your family. Ask not why, but what for: turn this into action, it feels better I have experienced.

I know we don't know each other at all, but I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when you had your babe last spring.
how cool it is to be involved with this group.

Shit, that sucks, Abby. I'm so sorry to hear this, and so glad that you've been able to take this experience and get involved with S.D.A. Good luck to you.

That is an incredible thing to do, and a great and lasting way to honor your daughter's memory.
